Over the past couple of months leading up to holiday season, The Work-Family Connection students collected toys and books for those in need. The effort was spearheaded by WFC’s hardworking and dedicated Site Coordinator, Vera Moncur. The donations were delivered to The House of Love Soup Kitchen and Pantry in Newark, NJ, with additional donations dropped off to two local family shelters – Saint Rocco’s Family Shelter and Harmony House Family Shelter.
WFC’s students collected over 300 toys and books! They surpassed their initial goal and were able to bless 100+ families with gifts. What an amazing accomplishment that we are so proud to have been a part of.
Big thanks to our families and communities for their donations, and to Vera and her team for coordinating and executing this beautiful community service project!
