In 2024, WFC celebrating 35 years of continually responding to the emerging needs of children, families, districts and communities!
Founded in 1989 as an educational non-profit in Hunterdon County, we quickly gained acclaim for high-quality Enrichment Programs, expanding to offer Before and After School Programs, Pre-K and Kindergarten Full Day Programs, and Summer Camps, serving over 300,000 families across more than thirty school districts statewide. Our notable achievements include:
- Spearheading NJ State Licensing Standards for Out-of-School Programs
- Emphasizing safety through mandated fingerprinting
- Recognition by the National After School Alliance
- “Program Leadership Keys to Quality Award” from the NJ School-Age Child Care Coalition
To celebrate, WFC awarded college scholarships in the amount of $3,500 to two delightful and deserving individuals. Mercy is a WFC staff member in the Chatham School District looking to pursue a graduate degree in Social Work from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Michael attended WFC before & after school programs in the High Bridge School District. He graduated from Voorhees High School and is heading to Rutgers University. Congratulations to them both!
